Poppie Dolls and Bears~My little Viscose Ellie

Hello all!!

Well this is my first little Ellie with the new Viscose that I ordered.  

She is made out of the Pale Lavender and I have given her the first distress layer.

It was really hard to start to distress her because the Viscose is such a pretty color.

I have much more to do with her before I am finished.

I just thought you might like to see her as a work in progress first.

As soon as she is finished drying then it will be on to the next step..

She is going to be a Vintage Circus Ellie, and she is as excited as I am to get her finished...lol

Poppie Dolls ~ Changes are coming

Hello Friends,

So much has changed since the last time I was creating Bears full time.  I have been catching up and getting my supplies, making patterns, experimenting with making eyes...and so the list goes on.

I am so excited to start this adventure.  

I am not showing any of my older bears because I want to start a new, and only show my newest designs and creations.

I am looking forward to using fabrics that are new to me, and some that I am familiar with and love.  I have never used Viscose fabric.  I ordered some in beautiful colors.  

I ordered from Intercal Mohair.  Oh my goodness!!  The mohair is just so beautiful and the selection...that was the hardest part was trying to decide what color, and type of mohair.  The Viscose is just beautiful and I look forward to working with this amazing fabric.

The customer service was top notch and I received my order in just a few days.  The communication was spot on.  I can't say enough nice things about this company.   I was used to getting my Mohair fabric from doll shows.  Online is the only way I will purchase from now on.

The next cool thing I got was a handy little supplies case to take with me on our vacation.

I can pack everything I need in relations to Bear making in this handy little contraption.  I got it at JoAnn on sale with a 40% off coupon...Oh how I love those coupons...lol

 Now I am off to Hobby Lobby for some polymer clay to make the eyes I have in mind...

Poppie Dolls and Bears

Please let me introduce my Poppie Dolls and Bears.
This adorable little bear is "Tick"
He is one of my newest designs.

My Poppie Dolls are pop surrealistic and Teddy bear dolls.
My Bears, Ellies and Hares are Vintage type Mohair. 

 I have had a long hiatus from Bear making and I feel the desire to start up again.

I am excited to start again...there have been so many changes and new techniques to try.  

I make my own doll eyes and I am going to make my own
hand-sculpted Faux Shoe Button Eyes, and a new technique
I have been working on for glass like Bear eyes.

I have been busy designing my patterns and I will soon be sewing away.
